I know many Blogs of War readers around the world don’t celebrate the Holiday but I hope all of you have the ability to spend time with family and friends. And I especially hope that all of you, primarily those of you serving in harms way, stay safe.

I will be spending the day with the Girlfriend of War. Together, we’ll haul a load of Trappist Ale, fine cheeses, and fresh baked bread from our favorite Chinese bakery to my family’s home. It’s our contribution to the feast. Thoughts on Africa, Syria, Egypt, and Libya will follow once the Turkey and ale induced coma fades.
