Wow: George Orwell\’s \”1984\” can\’t compete with you guys. The School of the Americas ( which is what it is. . .let\’s be honest ) \”For more than 60 years, international students have attended Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC) to promote cooperation, democracy and human rights throughout the Americas.\”

For more than 60 years, the School of the Americas has been training military commanders from Latin America in the craft of counter-insurgency, including torture and assassination. To be used, in almost all cases, to prop up ruthless dictators and terrorize their respective populations.

The job of the School of the Americas has always been to promote the U.S. political agenda throughout the region and to ensure that our corporations can operate with a free hand inside Latin American countries.
