Tropical Storms (Soon to be Hurricanes) Gustav and Hannah Converge on the United States
by John Little on 28/08/2008
The season is really heating up now with the formation of Tropical Storm Hannah:
Tropical Storm Hannah was christened early today in the Atlantic and is now cruising west-northwest at about 12 mph, according to a National Hurricane Center bulletin.
Hannah, appearing to head toward Florida, was packing sustained winds of 45 mph and some strengthening was forecast before tomorrow.
With tropical force winds extending out about 50 miles from the center, Hannah is already nearly as big as Gustav.
Next week is going to be wild.
