Less Politics – More Ubuntu
by John Little on 4/03/2007

I haven’t been very active here lately. Tech projects like Ubuntu Video have kept me pretty occupied. I’m also a little burnt out on news and politics to be honest. I haven’t turned on the television for a couple of weeks now. That’s two weeks without the sound of a phony Fox News alert. I could get used to this.
Collaboration with a bunch of idealistic geeks on a project that benefits people around the world is a bit more rewarding than turning on the news and wading through the sickest parts of our rapidly deteroriating culture. Thanks to Ubuntu I have an incredibly secure, stable, and hassle free workstation (screenshots) so there are plenty of selfish reasons for working on the project as well.
Anyway, I’ll be back to politics soon. The burnout never lasts.
