CPT Nighthawk blogs from Afghanistan:
Related posts:You are probably wondering why I am talking about Israel and Hezbollah more than I am talking about Afghanistan. With the recent Transfer of Authority (TOA) with the NATO led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), we are coming to the realization here in Regional Command South that ISAF doesn’t “get it”. I firmly believe that the Taliban “gets it” and is exploiting the situation. I wish I could say more but I would seriously compromise our operations. To give you a hint of what we are dealing with, ISAF stands for either “I Should Ask First” or “I Suck At Fighting”, depending on what unbelievable pile of crap is excreted from ISAF in Kabul.
Will the ceasefire hold between Hezbollah and Israel? Will ISAF be able to hold what gains we made in southern Afghanistan when we were under Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF)? We can defeat the Taliban and Israel can totally defeat Hezbollah. Afghans who have studied our history are asking us why aren’t we getting on with it. We are very good at killing the enemy; we just need the political decision to unleash the dogs of war.
Ground Assault: 10,000 IDF Troops in Lebanon
Hezbollah is up to it’s same PR tricks. Starting a war, launching over a thousand missiles at civilians, and screaming “Massacre!” when Isreal strikes back in self-defense. The whole thing...
NATO Assumes Command in Southern Afghanistan
There’s not much attention paid to Afghanistan these days but an important transition just occured: NATO’s International Security Assistance Force assumed command from coalition forces in southern Afghanistan today, continuing...

Why is it that what seems to be obvious to the people is far from what is being done with the objective of conclusion in mind? I thought it was just the USA that did things in a hap-hazard way. Maybe Israel has been hanging around the US too long. Surely the conflicts the US has been involved in were not decisive.
Why don’t we/they understand that what’s fair to terrorists (of all cultures) outweighs what’s fair to the rest of the civilized, reasonable doves of the world? Why is basketball played on a soccer field?
I don’t think it is getting done because it was never the main objective to get it done. So, getting on with it seems moot.
Well, think of it this way: who makes bullets, missles, tanks, LAVS, jeeps, tires, jets, helicopters, kevlar vests, AK-47′s, M-16′s, RPG’s, jet fuel, Zezal missles, any type of missle, mortar rounds, fuses, explosives, C-4, G-3′s, machine guns, etc, etc, etc. Russians, American, french, isrealis, Iranians, etc, etc, etc. With this kind of “commerce” people have jobs at weapons and munitions plants, like GM, Kalashnikov, etc etc etc.
Kinda makes the world go round doesn’t it? You wouldn’t want to “finish” a war ’cause everybody would be outta work! And daddy warbucks wouldn’t make any money.
Why aren’t we getting on with it? Our politicians have lost their nerve. The leftist naysayers, communist front organizations, Vietnam era hippie hangers-on, Democrat traitors and their MSM supporters have finally convinced the majority of Americans that it is going badly and is time to cut and run. The politicos are convinced that any aggressive action at this point will hurt them politically and they will not be doing what is best for America and the WOT. I’ve never been more disgusted with our weakling government since the time of Vietnam and the Iran hostage crisis. I fear we are on the path to another 9/11 wake up call. I pray when we get it, that we finally “get it” and eliminate once and for all the scourge of Islamic facism.
The west will get it at some point – hopefully there won’t be any mushroom clouds needed for the west to understand what it is that they are appeasing…

The Americans are very good in kill their enemies.
But, they make their best when they kill civil citizens (Mi Lay), when they bombing another country from very high in the space.
Fighting in same conditions the vietcongs are the best.
Remenber GIs, you leave the Vietnam with the tail in legs middle.
9/11 was a joke compared by all the missery the U.S brought in this world. It is time for a wake up call for all people to understand that Bush is the real terrorist.
Things are NOT going well in Afghanistan. The Taliban have sanctuaries in Pakistan and free movement over most of Afghanistan. The CIC of NATO says we are at a tipping point, and that we have only 6 months left to save 70% of the populkation from supporting the Taliban.

The way to stop an insrgencey is thru civil action teams, not firepower. That should be obvious to anyone, except perhaps those blinded by personal profit.
I think that the US has no right to be interfering with the problems of another nation. The US has declared war more than enough times on contries that are more helpless than us and without the consent of congress. We have more than enough problems at home to deal with then going out and trying to solve someone else. And the fact that Bush had to lie to be able to go to war made matters worse. I mean were are all the weapons of mass destruction Bush keeps talking about right. Thier werent any in the first place it was all a cover up so that Bush could barge into another nation and protect the gas he need for his business.
