Tropical Storm Chris

by John Little on 2/08/2006

Via the SciGuy:

Overnight the storm’s path has been altered slightly to the north, as that’s the direction in which the computer models have been trending. There’s now a slightly better chance that southern Florida may get struck, although the best odds remain that Chris enters the Gulf of Mexico sometime on Sunday.

If it reaches the Gulf, where will it go from there? I like this answer from the Houston/Galveston office of the National Weather Service: “Where Chris goes beyond that is pure speculation at this point.”

It’s still way too early to be concerned but I’ll be watching the storm. Updates, if needed, will probably be posted to Blogs of War Offtopic.
