North Korea is preparing for a possible test of an intercontinental ballistic missile with the potential to hit the US, according to Washington officials.
A senior official said there were “enough indications” to suggest that Pyongyang was getting ready to fire a Taepodong-2 missile from a launch pad in eastern North Korea. It would be the Stalinist state’s first test of a longer-range missile since 1998 when Pyongyang generated an international crisis by unexpectedly firing an intermediate-range Taepodong-1 over Japan.
We’re distracted by Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Venezuela, and stuff like American Idol (mostly American Idol) while the North Koreans are stockpiling longdong missiles. That can’t be good. But there’s some hope. They may be bluffing:

For some reason I’m just not finding any comfort in the fact that he might be bluffing.

Our exploits in Iraq have tied our hands to take care of business in North Korea. Let’s remember that there is a demilitarized zone on 32rd parallel, not peace. Technically speaking we’ve been in a suspended state of war with the North Koreans for the last 50 years! We want to talk about watching North Korean missile tests? Did America let a country we’ve been at war with for the last 50 years develop nuclear weapons? Have we let them develop a capability to deliver those weapons across the Pacific? The test firing of north korean missiles has nothing to do with prophesy, communism or any idiological reason. The United States describes north korea as an evil states, and it should be dealt seriously. As a sovereign country you have the right to defend yourself to any invaders or forces that threatens your existence. North Korea is only exercising his right, and showing the world that he can defend himself. The only way to deal with north korea is to let Japan to be miltary world power again, and to check the Chinese and Koreans asian military buildup. To understand the north koreans way of thinking, is to think like an asian, not in a colonial way of thinking that everything lower than him is a slave. Afterall, it is common knowledge that the Chinese provided the North Koreans their nuclear technology.

They know that they can hit the United States, but if the united states retaliates with nukes the radiation fallout will also affects south korea and japan their most closest ally in north east asia. Unless America wants to play terminator man incinerate everyone in the vicinity. America will not only wiped out the North Korean but also the japanese and the south korean. North korean have nothing to lose, their economy is already slumped to the ground. With that situation it is a profer time to go to war.
