Brit Hume hit the nail on the head on Fox News today when he said (I’m paraphrasing here) that Democrats have a problem recognizing the legitimacy of both their opponents and the voters when they lose.

In other words, they never look in the mirror and ask themselves why they’re losing. They just lash out. That’s why Senator Daschle has the nerve to hold a news conference and claim that it was the Republicans who stalled the Homeland Defense bill, that Rush Limbaugh is creating brainwashed zombie assassins, and that this nation is headed down the same path of religious extremism as some of our foes.

The man is crazy.

The Democrats are resorting to conspiracy theories and scare tactics yet again. Expect it to worsen over the next two years.

The hardcore left still hasn’t learned that Americans are generally reasonable people who don’t scare easily. They haven’t learned that the turmoil they created during the Vietnam War shouldn’t serve as a blueprint for activism in every conflict that follows. They haven’t learned that Americans favor an even playing field but have never equated that with socialism. They haven’t learned anything frankly. Their vision of the future is rooted firmly in 1968.

The left isn’t dead in the water. They’re in reverse. They’re self-destructing with amazing efficiency. Meanwhile, reasonable conservatives and conservative Democrats observe the reality of the world around them, roll up their sleeves, and get to work.

There’s a new Democrat boogeyman looming on the horizon. One I predict they will be talking about within a year. The conservative Blogosphere. We’re gaining more traction in the “real” media daily. We’re exposing the deep-rooted anti-Americanism prevalent in so many of their coalitions. We’re finding the tripe they publish online for the faithful and exposing it to a shocked America.

If they think Rush Limbaugh is a pain in the ass its just because they aren’t yet familiar with Rachel, John, Michele, Charles, Lee, Jay, and countless others.
